The Padre Island Business Association Island Ambassador Program is growing! If you’ve attended a PIBA meeting, mixer, or event over the last 6 years then you have probably seen a group of men and women wearing white shirts with a blue name tag! Those are the AMAZING PIBA Island Ambassadors. As PIBA Island Ambassadors each volunteer has increased networking opportunities, increased name and face recognition, the opportunity to meet business owners and local leaders as well as potential media coverage while attending events both on and off the island.
Our Island Ambassadors play an important role within the Padre Island Business Association. The Island Ambassadors volunteer at PIBA meetings, luncheons, mixers, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and other events both on and off the island. We set up, clean up, meet & greet and volunteer at member businesses when they request our assistance. We are also required to volunteer at 2 of PIBA’s largest events, which are Taste Of The Island and all Barefoot Mardi Gras Events. Island Ambassadors are expected to reflect a positive attitude with proactive promotion of our Island, our business members, and the Padre Island Business Association. Also, starting in 2021 the Padre Island Business Association will begin the Welcome Wagon program. The Island Ambassadors will be stuffing and delivering bags of information and swag from PIBA member businesses to new homeowners on North Padre Island.
